Base Prayer and Home Prayer Teams
Café 52 is our town centre base and the point where the Town Pastors meet for briefing before going on patrol. The Base Prayer Team of two will keep in touch with the Pastors throughout the night and will provide prayer support and a well earned refreshment break during the shift. They will also assist with the vital debrief at the end of the shift. Some Town Pastors also double up as Base Pray-ers. As with Pastors, Base Pray-ers are asked to do one night per month.
The Home Prayer Team is a vital component of the scheme as members volunteer to pray at home for an hour on a rota basis all the time the Town Pastors are out on the streets. They phone into the Base for updates on what is happening in the town and receive specific prayer requests from the Base Team. This work underpins the all that we do and we really need as many Home Prayers as we can get.
